Add Item form

Purpose: Create a full inventory item with photos, specs, and quantity.

Core function: Capture item details. Supports voice dictation, photo upload, OCR label reading, and manual entry.

Screen elements:

• Photo area — Take photo or upload. Multiple photos. "Read label" runs OCR on selected photo.

• Voice dictation — Mic button + text input. Say "12 boxes of tiles, 8 each" → fills name, boxes, units.

• Item name — Required. Official name (SKU) and optional site name.

• Category / System tag — Grouping.

• Manufacturer, Model/Part #, Color, Size — Specs. Often auto-filled by OCR.

• Quantity — Count mode (boxes + units) or coverage (sq ft, linear ft). Boxes, units per box, loose units.

• Notes — Free text.

• Submit — "Add item" or "Add and add another"

Flow: Add photos (optional) → Read label (optional) → Dictate or type → Fill any remaining fields → Submit.

Ecosystem role: Primary way to add detailed items. Items appear in Inventory and QuickList.
